Box Score CLEVELAND, TN – The Emmanuel Men's Soccer team traveled to Cleveland, TN tonight to take on Lee University in the Lion's season opener. It was a competitive matchup from the start, but the Flames came away with a 2-0 victory. With the loss, the Lions fall to 0-1 on the season.
The first half of play was a defensive battle, with neither team finding the net. The Flames led the Lions with 3 shots on goal, but goalkeeper
Quincy Howard collected 3 saves. The two teams went into the half knotted up at 0-0.
The Flames quickly found their groove offensively to start the 2
nd half with a goal at the 46:57 mark to go up 1-0. Lee tacked on another goal at 63:10 to make it 2-0, which would be the final score. The Flames finished the game with 6 shots on goal compared to the Lions 1.

The Lions will be back in action on Sunday as they travel to Anderson, SC to take on the Anderson University Trojans at 7PM.
