MILL SPRING, NC – The Emmanuel Women's Track & Field team continued their indoor season over the weekend at the UNC Asheville Collegiate Opener. Emmanuel freshman, France Smith led the way for the Lions with a 3^rd place finish in the high jump. 

HIGHLIGHTS

• Freshman, France Smith placed 3^rd in the high jump with a jump of 1.47M
• In the pole vault, freshman Macy Moore hit 2.89M to mark a top Conference Carolinas vault.
• In the long jump, Smith placed 9^th with a jump of 5.04M. 
• In the 800M, Aubrey Barnett finished 13^th with a time of 2:52.98 with teammate Rose Reardin following close behind with a time of 3:00.62 to place 14^th.
• In the 200M, Smith finished 16^th with a time of 27.11.
• In the mile, Barnett placed 16^th with a time of 5:54.90.

Next up, the Lions will head back to Tryon Banked for the Tryon Banked Invitational on January 30^th.
