BIRMINGHAM, AL– The Emmanuel Women's Track & Field team traveled to Birmingham, AL to this weekend compete in the Samford Bulldog Open hosted at the Birmingham CrossPlex. It was a record-breaking day for the Lions at the track, with several Lions earning top times including France Smith who broke the school record in the 60M Hurdles with a time of 8.9!

RESULTS

• In the 60M Hurdles, freshman, France Smith finished 5^th in the finals with a time of 8.97. She ran a time of 8.90 in the prelims which broke the Emmanuel School record and places her 2^nd currently in Conference Carolinas.
• In the Pole Vault, Macy Moore finished 7^th with a jump of 2.96M.
• In the High Jump, Smith finished 9^th with a jump of 1.50M. 
• In the mile, Aubrey Barnett finished 10^th with a personal best time of 5:40.99 (Conference Carolinas Top 20 time) with Gracie Woods finishing 15^th with a time of 5:48.58. 
• In the shotput, Makena Donald threw 9.42M which was a personal record and placed her in the Conference Carolinas Top 20 currently.
• In the mile, Rose Reardin ran a personal best time of 6:29.

Next up, the Lions will compete at the Conference Carolinas Championship held at the JDL Fast Track on February 22-23!
