Box Score Young Harris, Ga – The Emmanuel Men's Lacrosse team traveled to Young Harris, Ga. this evening to take on Young Harris College in Conference Carolinas play. The Mountain Lions got off to a quick start in the first period and controlled the pace of the game the rest of the way to earn a 16-6 win. With the loss, the Lions fall to 0-12 on the season. 
 
In the first period, Young Harris struck first with two goals in the first two minutes of play to take a 2-0 lead. Griffin Gibson-Thomas answered back with a score of his own with 9:42 to play in the first, to make it 2-1.  Young Harris would close out the first period with three goals in a row to take a 5-1 lead after the first. 
 
In the second period, the Mountain Lions continued their momentum, going on a 6-0 scoring run in the period to take a 11-1 lead into the 3^rd. 
 
In the 3^rd period, Tanner Park got the Lions back on the board with a goal with 11:46 to play to make it 11-2. Young Harris would score the next three to go up 14-2, but Jared Weiss would answer back with a goal for the Lions with 2:47 to play to bring the score to 14-3. 
 
In the 4^th period, the Mountain Lions tacked on another goal to their lead to make it 15-3, but Griffin Gibson-Thomas responded with a goal with 6:13 to play to make it 15-4. Young Harris added another goal with 3:49 to go to go up 16-4. The Lions would finish out the game with two goals scored in the final two minutes of play. Jared Weiss would strike first, with a goal at the 1:49 mark to make it 16-5. Griffin Gibson-Thomas added his third of the night, assisted by Luke Hildebrandt, with 1:15 to play to make the final score 16-6.
 
Next up, the Lions will host Chowan University on Saturday at 1PM.
