Franklin Springs, GA – Emmanuel College (2-6, 1-2) picked up their first Conference Carolinas win in school history as they defeated the visiting Lees-McRae Bobcats (1-8, 0-4) 12-6 on Saturday. Despite a commanding 16 shots from the Lions in the first quarter, the Bobcats took an early 2-1 lead after the first quarter. The Lions continued to generate scoring opportunities in the second quarter though as they outshot and outscored LMC 4-2 to take a 5-4 lead at the half. The Bobcats were not done though as they tied it up early in the third at 5-5 with an unassisted goal from Tanner Jones, but the rest of the game was all Lions as they would continue to outshoot the Bobcats 59-23 collectively in the game and outscore the Bobcats 7-1 on the rest of the day. The Lions man-up unit continued to improve with a 4/7 showing on Saturday, and the Lions offense saw seven different players find the back of the net.

LMC goalie Jordan Lombardo led both teams with 18 saves while LMC midfielder Tanner Jones led the Bobcats with 2 goals.

Shawn Sagraves (Winter Garden, FL) netted the game winning goal as well as a hat trick and an assist to pace the Lions offense with four points, and sophomore Austin Brundage (Leesburg, VA) also tallied a hat trick. Freshman Roman Tavani (Suwanee, GA) also scored his first career goal while leading the team in groundballs. EC senior Blake Duncan (New Westminster, BC) stood tall between the pipes turning away 57% of all shots on goal while also helping the team's clearing percentage to 100% on the day to record his second win of the season.

Emmanuel returns to action on Saturday afternoon as they host DII Independent Young Harris College with a 2:00 pm scheduled face-off at Stephens Athletic Field.
