Box Score TIGERVILLE, Sc. - The Emmanuel College Men's Lacrosse team headed to North Greenville University on March 24th.
The Lions put 5 goals up during the game, but fell to NGU 19-5.
Only 3 of the 19 goals came in the first quarter. The lions failed to answer the Crusaders in the first quarter. The crusaders started the second quarter with two more unanswered goals. With 12:36 remaining in the second quarter, Lance Olson made the first goal for the Lions putting them on the board.
North Greenville went on to score two more goals, the lions fought back with a goal from Alex Stull. The crusader's Ethan Landreth scored another with 1:58 left making the score 8-2 North Greenville to end the quarter.
The crusaders went on an eight-goal scoring run with no answer from the lions in the third quarter.
The fourth quarter opened with a goal from the Crusader's Matt Somjack. The lions then came back to score three unanswered goals from Cam Free, Alex Stull, and Justin Parker. The Crusaders then scored two goals to end the game with a score of 5 to 19.
Ethan Brundage, Luke Harris, and Avery Lattimore all had time in the goal for the Lions. Brundage ended with 9 saves while Lattimore and Harris had three apiece.
The Lions won 8 of the 26 faceoffs, had 11 ground balls, 22 turnovers and 12 shots.
The next game for the Lions will be at home against Belmont Abbey on March 28th.
